Better Than...Brand

In the 1990s, our owner Gary Carpenter started playing around with different ingredients to make one he and his family would like. He came up with this recipe with just the perfect ingredients.

A short time ago, we gave some of our picante sauce to friends and they really liked it. They encouraged us to begin making and selling it so others could enjoy it. We thought about it and finally decided to hand some out to see what kind of feedback we might receive.

To our surprise, we had many people that loved the flavor and consistency of our sauce. More encouragement started coming from others. We added different heat levels as feedback suggested, never altering flavor or consistency. We want to offer a picante sauce that everyone in the family, whether young or old, will enjoy.

Moreover, many people have come to us and say that this is better than the brand they have patronized for years or this is more flavorful than those brands they have tried before. Hence, our name is Better Than… Brand. It was created by our customers and we thank them for their support.
